Aja Zanova (please pronounce Aay-ah), a 2x Word Champion in Figure Skating, an European Champion and a 4x Czechoslovak Champion had dreams just like many other little girls. But not all of us have the courage, discipline and determination to make them come true, the way she did.

Although ice skating was a big part of Aja's life, that's not what defines her. Her story is about personal strength, sacrifices, family love and unimaginable choices, moments in the spotlight as well as dark times. Most importantly, it's a story of a little girl who has grown into a beautiful, strong woman, full of charisma, class and charm.
Her story mustn't be forgotten. We all need heroes and Aja Zanova (born Alena Vrzáňová) was mine. She inspired all generations of ice skaters all over the world and touched lives of anybody who was lucky enough to have known her. A top athlete, a successful business woman and above all, an amazing human being.
